Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church (FBBC) of St. Joseph, Missouri, is looking for a lead pastor that can work with our elders to shepherd and oversee the church, and feed the people of FBBC by preaching and teaching through the Bible. Resumes will be received through December 31, 2023.
THE CHURCH
FBBC is a Southern Baptist Church that affirms The Baptist Faith and Message 2000, The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, The Nashville Statement on Biblical Sexuality, and The Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. Our church currently has 584 local members with approximately 400 people who attend on a regular basis. Our main regular weekly activities include community groups and worship service on Sunday mornings, and prayer meeting, youth group, Awana, and choir on Wednesday evenings. We have other ministries that meet regularly, please see our website for details. All age groups are well-represented in our church family. Our children attend a variety of education options: public schooled, homeschooled, private Christian schooled. Our church invests both funds and labor in missions works on local, national, and international levels. We are affiliated with the Missouri Baptist Convention and the St. Joseph Baptist Association.
THE COMMUNITY
We are situated on the east side of St. Joseph, Missouri, a metropolitan area of just over 120,000 people, roughly 45 miles north of Kansas City. St. Joseph has a rich history which includes interesting aspects of the Pony Express and Jesse James. Mosaic Life Care (health care system) and Missouri Western State University are located just down the road from our campus.
