apples of gold

Apples of Gold is a 6-week summer Bible study for young women based on two scriptures:

  • A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. --Proverbs 25:11
  • Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the Word of God. --Titus 2:3-5

An Apples of Gold class is more than a Bible study. At the weekly meetings, mature women mentor younger women through topical Bible studies, cooking demonstrations, sharing a meal, and encouragement to be the woman God has called and designed them to be.

No one is a perfect wife or mother but God has given women the gift of friendships to enhance their journey and learn from one another. That's the heart of Apples of Gold.

The summer session begins with a potluck dinner called “Applesauce” where the ladies get to know each other. Then the following topics are studied over the next 6 weeks: kindness, loving your husband, loving your children, submission, purity, and hospitality.

The summer session concludes with a Celebration Dinner, which includes husbands.
