John Mark Yeats

Transitional pastor


John Mark serves FBBC by preaching on Sundays, assisting the church leadership, training various committees, and assisting the Pastor Search Committee as they search for our next Lead Pastor. During the week he serves as both the undergraduate dean and an associate professor of church history at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and College in Kansas City.


He and his loving wife Angie are the proud parents of four awesome children. They range in age from 5th grade to a freshman in high school. The whole family is active in sports and music programs in their school and community.


John Mark loves to write and has contributed articles to multiple journals as well as the Encyclopedia of Christian Civilization.

He has also authored three books:

· Franchising McChurch: Feeding our Obsession with Easy Christianity

· The Time is Come: The Rise of British Missions to the Jews, 1808-1818

· Worldviews: Think for Yourself about How We See God
